Humanin (10MG)

Original price was: $129.00.Current price is: $119.00.

  • Humanin, a naturally occurring peptide, is found in mitochondria and various parts of the human body, including the heart, kidney, brain, and skeletal muscles.
  • Initially categorized as a mitochondrial peptide, Humanin has since been reclassified as a neuropeptide due to its observed benefits in Alzheimer’s disease patients.
  • Humanin is associated with significant impacts on health span and lifespan, with levels typically higher in children compared to adults. Adults suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and mitochondrial dysfunctions often exhibit lower Humanin levels.

Description

How It Works

  • Humanin regulates mitochondrial status by acting against apoptosis (cell death). It does this by inhibiting the function of a protein called Bax
  • Bax is a protein that resides inactive in the cytosol (fluid of cells) but will participate in cell death during normal development and various diseases. When Bax protein is triggered, it will target the mitochondria, releasing harmful compounds. Humanin prevents the Bat targeting, resulting in mitochondrial protection
  • Humanin binds to receptors throughout the body, resulting in enhanced intracellular signaling. This enhances protection against harmful agents
  • Overall, Humanin plays a role in returning the body to optimal function during a metabolic stress response

Research Benefits

  • Boosts mitochondria functions
  • Improves lifespan and health span
  • Reduces the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases
  • Reduces inflammatory markers
  • Protects neurons
  • Protects healthy cells from cell death
